Near Decatur / Scottdale

  • Glenlake Dog Park (Decatur) – A fenced, off-leash dog park within Glenlake Park where pups can run, play, and socialize in a safe, open space. The grassy area is roomy and shaded, and it sits beside the larger park’s playground and open lawns — so families can mix dog time with playtime or a picnic. It’s an easy, everyday dog outing close to your Scottdale–Decatur homes.
  • Oakhurst Dog Park (Decatur) – A fenced, off-leash dog park with shade and open space for pups to run and play.

3. Dog Beach

Atlanta Dog Beach —Morningside Nature Preserve 

Just under a mile of easy trail leads to a sandy shoreline along South Fork Peachtree Creek where leashed dogs can splash and play in the shallow water — a favourite “dog beach” for local pups. The wooded trails and suspension bridge make the walk feel like a mini nature escape in the city, and it’s a great option if you’re looking for an outdoor adventure with your dog.
