Most are very close to your house, and Decatur Square is just a short drive away.

Very Close to the House (under 1 mile)

Bring your dog to the outdoor seating area and let the kids stretch their legs while you grab coffee.

10-Minute Drive: Decatur Square

If you’re willing to drive about 10 minutes, Decatur Square offers an excellent variety of restaurants — over 30 within walking distance. It’s a great place to stroll, eat, and people-watch as a family.

Our family favorites around the Square:

  • Raging Burrito (Mexican) — casual, generous portions, easy with kids
  • Siam (Thai) — approachable Thai food in a relaxed setting
  • Deer & Dove — more “grown-up” but still doable with kids, especially earlier
  • Iberian Pig — excellent food; best for families if you go earlier in the evening

Down Ponce de Leon Street from Decatur Square

A few more great, family-friendly options just beyond the Square:

Why we recommend it:
Classic burgers, casual vibe, and very easy with kids. Reliable and comfortable.

Green Ginger Decatur (Asian fusion)

Best for: Families who like variety

Why we recommend it:
Flavorful but approachable, with a calm atmosphere that works well for family dinners.

Chai Pani (Indian)

Best for: Adventurous eaters | Lively family meals

Why we recommend it:
Fun, vibrant, and very good food. It’s lively, but still manageable with kids — especially earlier in the evening.
